This is probably one of those busy concluding weeks of the school year. I had to work on the band banquet’s slideshow and I’m halfway done (I believe). I just need to add more pictures, music, and add transitions. I enjoy doing this for the 2nd year in the row, except demanding everyone to send me pictures is a huge hassle :/. And today, I had to work on getting certificates for the band seniors for tonight’s concert. Creating the awards wasn’t a problem; getting it printed was. I had trouble connecting to almost every printer in the school from my MacBook Pro. At one point, I printed a certificate which came out to a totally different building across the campus. Not to mention, the copy machines aren’t as functional, since the quality sucks.

Speaking about tonight’s concert, I performed in my last high school band concert. I’m actually happy that I got it over with, no more “call time at 5:30!” or “performance at 7:30!”. I actually do like festivals more, because we’re more serious under pressure than this. That’s just my opinion. There’s also so much work to do to prepare for the concert, like the certificate awards. I’m fine with it, since I received 2 awards at the end; one for leadership and one for being a senior. Too bad we didn’t play any marching band music at the end of the concert like how we do every other year.

I suppose that can conclude for partial of this week’s post. I have a lot on my plate, including the fact that I have to do a hard drive wipe on my account before returning a school issued laptop tomorrow. It’s not as bad as it seems, I’m just lazy to do it. The bright side of a Friday is that I’m watching The Dictator tomorrow. It’s “one of those” movies that catches my attention. And I also have a new layout, if you haven’t noticed. It’s not new, but I just refreshed the colors so I have something to look at.

A few weeks ago, I participated in the Cyber Quests Challenge. Even though I got knocked off the scoreboard, I still made it as a finalist! This means I’ll attend a 5 day camp during the summer that focuses on cyber security. I’m more excited for the summer!

As for the AP Literature exam, I took it on Thursday and it wasn’t easy. Somehow, I think the essay portion was a lot easier than the multiple choice questions. With that said, I’m crossing my fingers for a passing score. What sucks is that my teacher abandoned us after the first semester.. And nothing was really done to prepare us during the first semester.

This Thursday, we’re having our annual spring concert. I’m ready for a portion of it.. Only because a couple of days ago, my band director was recruiting a few band members for an orchestra ensemble. I wanted to play violin for the ensemble, but I got placed as a cello player. I’m fine with it, except the last time I touched a cello was…. 5 years ago. There goes a challenge :P.

And today… My family went on a road trip to Tijuana, Mexico. We went around the market place for a couple of hours and took care of our business. It wasn’t really all that fun this time because we skipped breakfast and the wait time at the borderline to enter the U.S. was 2 hours long. Not to mention… I had a fever -_-. There goes my day!

And then there was yesterday.. Long story short, I went along and watched The Avengers during the night. It was a great movie except I didn’t really like the “filler” scenes in the beginning. But then again, every great movie needs a beginning that leads to the main plot at the end. Not only there’s action in the movie, there’s also humor here and there. It’s a must-watch movie of the season :D.

Other than that, I’m usually super busy during the weekdays. Not to mention, I’m behind in returning comments. Hopefully, I’ll get through them sometime soon. I have just one AP testing on Thursday for Literature. And then there is GradNite on the 24th at Six Flags… Following graduation on the 30th. I really hate May… :/.

There’s nothing much going on with school. There is going to be another band festival on Friday. With that said, I finally realized that this is going to be the last music festival I’m participating in. It ‘sucks’ because I’ve been participating in music festivals for a total of 5 years. In my years, I’ve received 1 Good and 7 Excellent as a rating for the ensembles I performed with. I’m hoping to earn a Superior rating on Friday.

For years, I always wanted to go to the Electric Daisy Carnival (some rave) when I turned 18. The event always took place on the last weekend of June. This year, the tables are turned and it’s taking place a week before my birthday. It’s a bummer since it’s strictly for people 18 and over :/. At this point, I’m going to wait until I’m 22 or something -__-. I just wanted to go so I can trade bracelets with random people.

Other than that, our gradnite this year is set on May 24 at Six Flags. At first, the senior class was planning to go on the 17th. Since AP testing took place during that week, gradnite got pushed forward to the 24th but to Disneyland instead. After lots of complaining, we booked the event at Six Flags. Hopefully, it’s worth the $90 :$.

Something that bothered me yesterday at the banquet was that some teacher who completely hates me was at the banquet yesterday. I didn’t want to perform because I didn’t want to be confronted with her. I didn’t want to perform, but I figured, I can’t let one person stop me from doing what I want to do; especially since I have multiple staff members supporting me & my band there.

After the banquet, I decided to go to TGI Friday’s to meet up with my other friends. I lost most of my appetite by then and I just ate a few fried shrimps, chicken strips, and half of the ribs on the plate. What was interesting was, all of us just came from performing in some kind of event. Aside from that, we just talked about what’s happening at school, life, and anything else we can ‘gossip’ about like how we distract our stats teacher with those “did you know” questions.

With that said, there’s only 1.2 months left of school.

Later this week on Friday, I have a performance with my personal band consisting of 4 people. My AP Literature teacher convinced me to perform at their annual SGS banquet. SGS is just a name for their small learning community in our school, and I wasn’t too peppy about the idea because I’m a student from a different small learning community {Humanitas}. Seeing how we have to perfect a song in 2 weeks, I decided that we’ll just play Party Rock Anthem.

As a senior in high school, the administrators are throwing a lot of requirements towards us in order to graduate. One of the things we have to do is to complete our senior portfolio which consists of a resume, cover letter, work assignment samples, volunteer hours, and etc. I barely finished my senior portfolio with all of the items in it and it’s due next Monday. I’m satisfied since I have time to spare unlike other’s from school who barely finished theirs last minute.

Even though I’m on top of things, there’s something missing. I don’t even know for myself what is missing, but I’ll have it figured out one day. And for those who are interested, I have some “true story” rants on Pacificity. :)

The initial “push” that inspired me to join band is.. During my freshmen year, I saw a a few guys wearing the band uniform, making their way across school coming back from taking their senior panorama picture. The uniform looks really nice and I knew then, that’ll be me in a few years doing the same thing. I was already a musician, but not in any official group or anything.  And I got myself weaved into band and climb my way to the top. And so- “4″ years later (which was on Thursday), I wore my uniform in pride and took the panorama picture. It was legit because only 3 out of 12 seniors wore the band uniform. I accomplished my dream from Freshmen year, and now you know why I wanted to join band (but not my reason of staying). It’s pretty lame but it’s a unique story.

My weekday concluded with our annual Shakey’s Pizza Fundraiser (which I booked). We all spent almost $80 combined on 3 pizzas with lots of mojos (fries) & fried chicken. As a group, there was just 6 of us and it was already fun. We sat, talked about random things, and watched as I screamed random things at Shakey’s. Most of it was inappropriate because I forgot it’s also a kid-friendly zone… And things like, “FOURSQUARE MAYOR IN THE HOUSE! AMEX DISCOUNT!!” I also dropped by the arcade- but instead of collecting 1000+ tickets, I gathered 200 tickets this time. I suppose it’s because we only spent $5 on tokens instead of $25 like last year. Instead of enjoying ticketed machines, I just went along and raced 3 of my friends on some car racing game. I won 3 out of 4 games- only because “I have a licence”. That’s other people’s excuse..

This entire week was spent going to several different malls with friends I usually don’t hang out with. There wasn’t really any motives behind going to these malls. It’s more of a “Now that I have time, let’s find out what these shops sell!” Despite going through so many shops, I haven’t been in the mood for shopping these days. I already made my priorities set because all I’m asking for is to go to GradNite and to have my own MacBook Pro…. And possibly for a clarinet as well (which I have no use for). But instead of all of that, my parents somehow agreed into getting me an iPad. The only upside to that for me is… I can finally play Words With Friends on the big screen!

For a little over a year, I started collecting bracelets here and there. Eventually, I started making bracelets out of pony beads, which is referred to as Kandi. I don’t really have a pattern-trend to follow, I just go with whatever my mind wants.. And it’s really random!

Aside from all of that, I finally added more content to the site! I made a tutorial on How to Install WordPress from Scratch and an ‘opinion article’ about Starting a Website. — Only because it’s spring break!

Coincidentally, there was another event going on at USC that day- the USC’s concert band was performing for an hour and I ended up attending the show. I loved the performance- the musicians were beyond excellent! It was a nice break for the time being. After returning to the relay course, there were events going around the whole track. One of the events I participated in was a scavenger hunt that was sponsored by BlackBerry. Most of the questions was related to everything BlackBerry, and of course… I figured ‘em out easily.

There were speeches given by cancer survivors and family members about their experience with cancer. It’s not a happy experience, but they all managed to find a way around the downfall of cancer. One thing I was reminded- don’t let anything put you down. No matter what, you just gotta fight on and enjoy what you have in life.

During the course of the day, we had free meals and drinks. For dinner, we had a choice between Papa John’s Pizza, spaghetti, and Chick-Fil-A. Later on, we had leftovers and I somehow took 10 bags of Chick-Fil-A. I gave 6 away& kept 4 for myself. I couldn’t stay overnight because I’m underage, but I took advantage of the time I had there. Overall, it was a great experience. Everyone should participate in at least one relay in their life to see how it’s like.

I believed I did a pretty good job. The only thing I messed up on is skipping an eighth note by accident during a song. It’s not noticeable. The best thing of it all: I didn’t squeak! I played pretty loud myself, bumping up the low winds like there’s no tomorrow.  We had to also dress formally for the performance. I wore a simple black dress- which you can find the pictures on my Tumblr.

For the past couple of days, I have been going around the school asking the staff members and students to help donate to my “cause” in participating in this year’s Relay for Life Event. As a participant, I need to fundraise at least $100. I normally don’t like going around asking people for donations.. But I managed to find a way to gather up $92 in 2 days. I just need $8 more to go and I’m finished! The hardest part in anything is finishing up in the project you started. I’m getting there!

Today during the two lunch periods, we had a random pep rally going on. The band performed a couple of tunes during the pep rally. After the pep rally, I changed into the band uniform because we have a contest going on in the last period of the day. Whichever student is dressed with the most school pride is exempted from today’s test and receives an A. Three students from my class are exempted because we all wore our band uniform- so it’s a tie.

Considering how my wind ensemble’s festival is on Wednesday, I’m going to go for a last round-trip to the mall tomorrow to see if I can find a dress I like. Along the way, I need to help buy a bow tie for my friend. After all this, I realized I’m just a really simple shopper. My daily outfits consists of either shorts or jeans along with a shirt or a hoodie. Isn’t that what an average person would wear?

I’m just blabbering away on a Friday night. What else is there to ask for? :P

As far as my grades go this semester, I’m picking it up- better than any other semesters in my high school life. Though- my grade dropped from a 94% to a 88% in Government because I didn’t catch the assignment I missed from the Vegas trip. On the bright side, I went from a C to a B- in AP Literature. It’s somewhat balanced out because somehow, around half of the students in both classes are failing in the time being.

In Physiology class, we were assigned a powerpoint project that requires a partner to do. This is one of those classes where I can’t socialize with much people except for a couple of others. Being the loner I am, I was going to be stuck with someone who shows up to class once a week.. Instead of giving in, I spoke out to the teacher and I got the opportunity to work alone! I only spent 2 hours working on the project and I volunteered to present first. It turned out great because I didn’t really need to read off the slides and others thought I knew everything (which I didn’t ;P).

Right now, Band is pretty much coming to an end for me. My band director received a RIF notice (basically a layoff slip) this year- and the years before. Budget cuts in Los Angeles is getting pretty intense because Adult Education, afterschool programs, music education, and other programs are getting cut. It’s something no one wants to face, but I’m hoping it’s just a plan that will backfire later on without the programs being affected..

As far as everything in life goes, I’m doing fine. It’s still March- I have a long way to go until graduation hits.

On Tuesday, Name Cheap released their $1.99 domain deals. I ended up purchasing another domain even though I said I didn’t want to. But heck- I have plenty of NameCheap domain credits so it’s worth the purchase. This new domain will serve the purpose of being a collective or something. It’s ribboned.net if you’re interested. I needed something that can replace my flavors.me account and this works out!

I don’t really have much free time lately. I’m already falling behind things I have to do.. Like fundraise $100 for Relay for Life. I’ll get to that one day- hopefully. I’m behind to the point where I’m also 2 posts behind in returning comments. I’ll be working on that after this post.

During the basketball games, I was cheering with the crowd/cheerleaders. During one of the free throws that belonged to the opposing team, our tuba player from USC’s band yelled, “YOU’RE THE ONLY REASON WHY DADDY LEFT YOU!” I thought that was a bit too far, but it still cracked me up!

I also had the wonderful opportunity to go through some hotels such as the Venetian, Palazzo, Caesar’s Palace, and the Bellagio. I wanted to go to more hotels, but people were really lazy. It sucks how we always had to be with a chaperone, but then again.. We’re just a bunch of high school seniors. I went to the Fashion Show Mall a couple of times. I didn’t really buy clothes because my mom said we’ll buy them back in LA. I just bought some bracelets here and there.

I spent around $100 on food such as ribs, sushi, and lots of caffeinated frappuccinos.. I went bowling with the band on Thursday after midnight because bowling was $1.00 per game. I went again on Friday after midnight with the other girls because we just wanted to have a night out and do whatever we want on the last night. Adding up all of that, I pretty much slept at 4:00am on Saturday morning with the fact I had to wake up at 6:40 to pack my things and load.

Overall, it was a great trip. Of course, I didn’t really mention every thing that went down in Vegas. As they all say, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. My mind is blown, but I’m not surprised. I have some pictures up on my Facebook- I’m just too lazy to upload it all here.

For a month and a half, I’ve been mentioning about going to Las Vegas with the senior band members. It’s finally happening on Wednesday morning! But that means I’ll have to wake up at 4:30 or something and be at school by 6:00. Hopefully this time, I won’t oversleep or anything. I’m still debating on when I should start packing for the trip. Today (which is a Sunday) or procrastinate until Tuesday night? I’ll probably have it figured out by then.

As far as classes goes, the only thing that’s keeping me on the edge is AP Literature. It’s not that doing the assignments are hard, getting a decent grade on it is. Have I also mentioned? Graduation is on May 30th! That’s really early compared to every other year’s schooling schedule!

Also, if you haven’t noticed, the layout changed a little. My only problem is the browser alignments for the header. That’s just bugging me -__-

Even in school, I’m busy. Sometimes during lunch and advisory, I go to the computer lab and attempt to work on the yearbook pages. I’m behind in work because I’m a procrastinator at home. But it’s all for the good, I’m buying the yearbook just like any other year. Speaking about that, I finally got my dad to pay for my senior cap & gown package. So $190.50 brings me a cap/gown, yearbook, panorama picture, and a souvenir tassel. I guess it’s worth it considering how I don’t need to buy everything separately.

I meant to post my band portrait up I just got last week. I’m satisfied about the way I came out- but I was completely sunburned on my face. Except I wrote my oversized sunglasses to practices and my burn is unevenly spread.

I don’t even know why I’m freaking out, I tried looking to see how much other people for from filing their FAFSA. One thing is, people are beginning to receive acceptance letters to colleges they applied to. A few of them got accepted to the universities I applied to and it’s worrying me. What if I won’t get accepted to the main universities I applied to? What if I won’t get accepted to the “backup” university I applied to? Why am I assuming the worst possible situation to live through?! It feels like I’m getting too much anxiety from thinking about this. The only other reason why I’m worried about admission is because I failed 2 art classes in 1 semester. I mean, I already have that “covered” with band. It’s still bad having 2 f’s in a transcript :c. Oh, and I also sucked at AP Calculus.

Then again, I tried making a good impression of myself with the things I do at school. I mean, I’m helping around in yearbook. I was also a part of a student-mediation group last year and the year before. I’m a leadership student in marching band/wind ensemble. I was a part of some holiday band along with a college band for a short time. I also marched in the annual New Year’s Tournament of Roses parade- just once. Oh, and I was also a part of my school’s first year in the cyber defense team. There’s also a little more things, but I’m just too.. Iffy to think.

Although I am being worried, at least I tried. I attempted to at least apply to the universities. It’s better than nothing and I even have the FAFSA submitted which most people haven’t done yet. At least I don’t have other things to worry about such as being undocumented. I’m even lucky that my parents filed their taxes this early for me. There’s always a brighter side to life, I suppose.

Well… In exactly 2 weeks, I’m going to the senior band trip to Las Vegas! Since I’m not going to the Electric Daisy Carnival (because I’m underage), I’m bringing my “raving” beaded bracelets to Vegas this time. -__-…

This year, I’m going to participate in the Relay for Life event on March 31. I participated once in 10th grade (2 years ago), but this time I have to find a way to raise at least $100. Well, it’s for the good cause helping cancer patients on getting treatment and on the road to success. For now, I’ll just think up of some plans to fundraise that kind of money.

I have a project right now for business class. My group and I have to work on this business plan for any item we’re promoting. As cheesy as I am (and since I’m doing 95% of the work), we’re promoting Disney Pins. So far, I know we probably have the best work in class considering how I’m presenting our business plan with a website :D! It sounds a lot more pleasant than a powerpoint! I don’t really want to make anything fancy, because there’s no real competition too. &There’s also the front page preview below.

Now that’s out of my mind.. School this semester has been keeping me busy lately. I have to get crackin’ in fixing and editing more yearbook pages, I have a more challenging AP Literature class, and I have entrepreneurship class now. I forgot to mention- I have to finish my senior portfolio in order to graduate. I mean, the senior portfolio isn’t hard to do, but I just need to get things like the Letter of Recommendations down and wait for my Community Service Hours papers to be sent to my school. I also have Wind Ensemble practice, which is much better than Marching Band.

Now that it’s February, I think it’s time for the count down for my “Senior Band Trip” to Las Vegas! :D! The only downside to it is that I’ll have to look for a bathing suit. I’m probably going to end up buying a two piece set and wear short shorts over the bottom set. I’m almost going insane because I’m always being demanded for work to do. I also have a project in Entrepreneurship where I have to create a marketing plan. It’s really easy- but it’s the put-together work that gets to me :P.

A bit before the competition started, I was asked to be interviewed by the people who sponsors this competition. I said I didn’t like to speak, but apparently they liked my interview answers the most. Horray for last minute thoughts! On the way back for another cup of cheap Starbucks coffee, one of the people who runs this competition called for my name, shook my hand, and said he’s jealous I did the rose parade. I am surprised because out of all people, my name is remembered. It’s because I was wearing my All City jacket, probably.

This leads me to this short train of thought. I’ve been working hard in band for the past 3 years. Sometimes, the things I do for band stresses me out or gets me crazy. I enjoy the things I do, but I feel as if anxiety gets to me sometimes. Sometimes at the end of the day, I feel totally drained out- that means I had a good and productive day. Sometimes, I seem arrogant by the way I act. Truth be told, hard work gets you rewards that others aren’t aware about. There’s a whole story behind this, an essay or two.

I guess I just miss Disneyland even though I was there 4 weeks ago. I have a key chain full of Disney merchandise and other things. I haven’t really collected anything new recently. Another thing is that I haven’t been on the Matterhorn ride since 2008; that’s like 3.5 years ago!

I don’t really have a chance to work around on the site lately. Except that.. I changed the colors around a bit a few days ago. Even though I do have some spare time, I’m just really lazy thanks to school. Not to mention, I have some deadlines that’s aching me. I’ll get them done soon.. Along with returning comments slowly at a time.

It’s official: I’m going to Vegas with the band from February 28 until March 4! I know I mentioned about Vegas in my previous post, but I’m just excited. This means we’ll miss a few days of school. I’m excited because I consider it as the “Leadership road trip of the year”. As far as I know, we’re staying in the Orleans Hotel. From what I saw, they have a sushi bar :O! I know what’s one of my stops going to be :D!

I guess that’s all for this post. I’m still busy doing work here and there for school. I noticed I haven’t had a free Saturday for the past 2 months. It’s all filled with school activities and me having to go to school. I managed to go through a handful of comments, but the job’s never done :D.

School’s going on fine. I finally got my grade point average bumped up from a 2.8 to a 3.141 (out of 4.0). Hopefully, college admissions won’t be too harsh against me. I probably break every other stereotypes about Asian students. People from school sleep later than 11pm. That’s just too much -_-.

Last week, I wrote an entry on Pacificity about how I wanted a trip to go to Vegas. A couple of days ago, guess what? 10ish People from band is going to Vegas for some performances! I am one of them :D! This trip is going to take place on.. The last week of February- next month. It’s going to be a 3~4 day overnight trip and I’m going to LOVE it.

As for band itself, I’m enjoying concert season. I’m more hyped this season because I play bass clarinet! One of our performances will be on March 28. That means I’ll have to find a black concert dress and pronto! So far, I’ve been looking through Forever 21. Most of ‘em is just short dresses :P

This semester, band is now called “wind ensemble”. It’s just another word for concert band. I love it because I’m playing Bass Clarinet! And I don’t have to deal with people as much! But either way during lunch, I’m helping out my “student” freshmen music for a regular clarinet. The only challenge in playing the bass clarinet is that I have to use more air for that powerful sound. I also have another parade to march in on Monday with the All City Band.

Today, I practically spent 8~9 hours with the Cyber Defense group at a University 45 minutes away. We had a training session on how to operate Linux. But it’s just basics, nothing much. I took some sloppy notes and it has it’s purposes. After lunch, we basically went over what to look for in the next competition. Towards the end, one of the speakers showed us how to make a website crash. It was pretty funny because they managed to crash one of the big sites for 2 minutes or something.

I tried checking into the Entrepreneur class today and it’s a no-go. The class is full according to the “system”. My counselor went to ask an administrator to overwrite the system. Hopefully, it did happen because I really want that class. That class combined with finance is the perfect combo for a successful future! ;D

I had wind ensemble (concert band) and it was lovely playing the bass clarinet. It’s a different feel this time and the best thing is that I don’t need to deal with anyone in the section! I just gotta worry about myself. The challenge of this is.. I have to use more air to play out those longer notes.

My classes almost stayed the same. My AP Literature class changed- in a sense that my initial teacher left with her family to work at India. I think that’s a random move. But now, I’ll have to work in a different course for AP Lit. I had to drop my Library Practice class even though I grew to love it so. I really wanted to try out Entrepreneurship for once- but I need that service class so I can work on my last minute assignments. I’m still a person without a home period though!

I haven’t been to the rest of my classes yet considering we’re on a block schedule. This is the last semester of high school. Speaking about high school, I still haven’t paid my senior dues yet. I might as well just buy the cap and gown now and buy the yearbook later.

I had to wake up at 1:30am today to prepare myself for the parade. Instead, my alarm didn’t wake me up and one of my band buddies woke me up thanks to her “wake-up text” at 2:10am. I rushed myself and got to school at 3:10am! It’s now the newest record of earliest time I’m at school :P. The bus came at around 3:30am and took us to our rehearsal location, but we just hang around in the bus until 6:00am trying to tape candy onto our uniforms and catch up on some sleep. Last night, I was anxious to the point where I didn’t sleep until around 10:45pm. That means I only had around 3 hours of sleep or something.

We unloaded the bus at Pasadena where the parade route starts at around 7:30am. We did some last minute restroom duties and waited in our parade block formation. We didn’t start marching the 6.2 mile parade until around 8:45am. We played music continuously in the first 20 minutes for the televisions to broadcast us. After a round of continuous music, we just went back to our cadence/band tune pattern. At around 1/4 of the way, I saw my dad on the sidewalk looking for me :P.

I taped at least 15 Jolly Ranchers/Life Savers on my uniform yesterday. My goal was to not eat any candy unless I am really really tired to the point where I’m going to give out. Thankfully, that didn’t happen. At the most, I had to just drag my legs up for the last 10 minutes of the parade. After the parade, we got free In-N-Out burgers AGAIN! Except that this time, I got 2 free burgers! I couldn’t finish the second one because I was too full by the first bite.

After those 3 rides, we went backstage of Disneyland and dressed in our uniforms. A picture of me and the uniform is below this paragraph. Sorry if it’s blurry though :t. We marched around from Main Street, USA to the back of Disneyland. It was a short parade- I even yelled, “That’s it?!” afterwards. I had a fun day going on rides and spending money for my lanyard neck-strap-thing :D!

Then today, I performed at Pasadena City College’s annual Bandfest. We all got free In-N-Out burgers for lunch! It was delicious (: – As far as the performance goes, I think we did great! 99% of the people on the stands stood up and clapped/cheered for our band. I did great because I hit 98% of the music :D! I met some people from other schools and somehow, they were surprised by the few other instruments I play o:. I’m just jealous how the other bands have a woodwind section and we don’t!

The New Year’s Tournament of Roses parade is on Monday! That means I’ll have to be at school at around 4:00 am or something!

My band experience this year is a lot better. Last year, I dropped band because it changed to the point where I just didn’t like being there anymore. Blame the moronic seniors who ruined my marching band season. I was still stuck with them for this year’s concert season- I just played music like I usually do. We went to 3 band festivals and got 2 Excellent’s (school district based) and 1 Good (Southern California based). I somehow got back into the band’s leadership in June. After that point, band was fun again. During the season, I went through some “personal conflicts” with others. Screw that, I’m in the band for music. I also performed in 2 field show competitions too! And now, I’m doing the Los Angeles Unified School District All City Honor Marching Band (the title IS that long!)- performing at Disneyland, Bandfest, and the famous Tournament of Roses Parade.

I managed to change site names twice this year from Ordinarily-Sketched to Satisromance to what is now- Colorfulistic. I noticed that I blogged lesser and lesser through time- blame school! I made some contents on the site in my attempt to be a cool kid. I tried really hard to make my affiliation/blogroll perfect, but it’s not there yet. I also managed to snag 3 other domains for my Fanlisting collectives, Photoblog, and Short-Stop blog.

As for life itself.. I did have a chance to go to Disneyland with two of my friends from my sophomore year. I’m going there again with my All City band mates tomorrow. I went to Tijuana, Mexico twice for the heck of it! One of the biggest highlights of my year is snagging $120 worth of beef jerky from the X-Games fest. 3 of my beloved cats passed away, but I managed to “adopt” a homeless kitten that was found in the PE field at my school during the summer. That’s just a semi-recap of my 2011 year.

I’m also getting the All City band uniforms tomorrow :D! And just another horrid day of practicing until it’s fun time (:! Every day for the past 2 weeks, I just came home super tired. So far, I haven’t have a winter break yet. I’m just expecting a 6 day winter break this year, after January 2. What’s best about this band is that there’s so many people from different schools. For once I can be *away* from the band kids from my own school. It’s nice to make new friends, basically :D

As far as this site goes, I think I transferred everything from Satisromance on to here. Because I purchased this domain when there was a special promotion, I got a free .org domain under the same name. Since this site is colorfulistic.net, colorfulistic.ORG will be my Tumblr (now a photoblog). As for Pacificity, that will be my short-stop blog. It’s one of my “bullet proof” plans for now.

With a new domain comes a new layout. I wasted 5 hours fidgeting around with this site trying to come up with something cool. But either way, I tweaked things here and there. Most of the things on the site stayed the same. Otherwise, I just took out some pages here and there like advertisement.

I am finished with the first week of All City “hell week”! We marched through Dodger’s Stadium several times! And every loop around the stadium is painful because I’m not used to carrying a trumpet and playing a trumpet! My arm, thighs, and shoulders were sore on the first two days. On Thursday and Friday, I guess I was so used to the pain that I didn’t feel anything. We are finished with our field show for Band Fest!

This week, I’m looking forward to finally getting my All City Marching Band uniform, go to & perform at Disneyland, and perform at Band Fest at Pasadena City College. The following Monday on January 2nd, I’m going to be in the New Year’s Tournament of Roses Parade! Watch out for the Los Angeles All City Honor Marching Band :D!

Today, I went to take a driving test once again. At first, I was a bit nervous because if I fail again, my permit will be revoked and I’ll have to apply for another one. It was some unnecessary pressure I had to take on. When I was at the lot waiting, an examiner came and checked me in. That examiner was the same person who failed me when I took my driving test the first time. Luckily, she skipped me and went on ahead and gave some other person a test. So I waited for another 5 minutes for another examiner to come. Luckily, I passed the pre-driving portion of the test. At the end, I only had 8 errors and passed the driving test! Now I gotta wait 3 weeks for my license to come. But I don’t really have a use for it- but I got it out of the way. (:

The next 2 weeks will be busy for me with all of these All City practices, performances, and stuff. The only highlight of all of this is… My trip to Disneyland AGAIN next Thursday! Another highlight of my winter break so far is I have won over $40 in credits for domains! This means I can renew my domains, with an addition of another one. Before anyone ask, no- I don’t really want to share.

In my Library Practice class, my final was to organize 3 bookshelf cases and do some little every day work. It was pretty easy considering I didn’t need to study or anything. I had a presentation with my group for Physiology about Carbohydrates; I had to make a poster about Polymers and present it. Apparently, my teacher liked my presentation the best because I never read off of anything and I spoke “clearly”. What sucks is that my group had to type an essay- I did most of the work considering how it ended up as a 7 page essay -_-!

My statistics final wasn’t all that hard- I was probably the first or second person who finished in the class. I don’t understand why people complain it’s too much work! Clearly, they’re wasting time whining instead of finishing their finals. In AP Literature, my teacher wasn’t here so we had to write 2 essays in 2.5 hours. It sucks because no one had motivation to do the work, but either way I was the only one who turned in the two essays in the first day. For Economics, we had a presentation about Cash for Clunkers and a test. Best believe, I have the highest overall grade in the class- which is an A :D! 94% woo!

My finals for Band, Service, and Finance was really easy. For band and service, I didn’t do anything. Finance was easy because we could use class notes which I dedicated a notebook for. At least now, the semester’s over and I hope my grades are better than last year’s.

Yesterday, I went to a competition for the cyber defense team. I woke up at 4:00 am & I was expected to go to school at 5:50 am! We had to go to Cal Poly Pomona (One of the schools I applied to) and we brought out laptops. We had 6 hours total to fix all security vulnerabilities of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. What sucks is that within 30 minutes of starting the competition, the server {which is everyone’s life support} that tells us the scores went down until the last 15 minutes of the competition. That’s over 5 hours of downtime! Everyone had to guess what’s right and wrong to fix and hope the scores went up. Our team spent the downtime fixing what we can by updating Windows security, playing minecraft, listening 2 hours of Trololo, and going on Facebook. Either way, my school topped in the top 5 afterwards :D!

When we got to the field show competition place, we warmed up for half an hour or so. The band were line up in an arc. Myself knowing how much of an asshole I am, there’s these 2 band members who always sticks together no matter what- I placed myself between them. Obviously, they got pissed off at me. I didn’t care, it’s JUST EIGHT MINUTES OF SEPARATION FOR PEEP’S SAKE. I just wanted to rage, one of my pet peeves is that I can’t stand people who can’t get away from each other even if it’s for 10 minutes.

My performance at the field show… In the beginning before the show started, I marched off too early because I couldn’t hear the signals. But during the time that we played, the band, color guard, and myself did BEYOND AWESOME!

After the field show performance, we had to do a senior line up where every underclassmen has to hug every senior band member. A lot of people said touching things to me, “I will miss you, asian!” “YOU’RE ONE CRAZY CLARINET PLAYER! I WILL MISS YOU!” “Thank you for everything, such as convincing my dad to let me come to practice” “What?! You’re a senior?!” and other things too. Like it or not, probably after 80% of the people that hugged me, I started tearing up.

I was supposed to perform with the All City Marching Band afterwards, but then one of the other band members didn’t bring their trumpet. I decided, “That person wants to do it more than I do. Plus, I feel crappy!” & gave the trumpet for them to play instead. No matter how much of a greedy person I may be, I’m not selfish 100% of the whole time -_-!

After the senior lineup thing, I went with my band buddies to purchase souvenirs. I managed to have my friend purchase me a “treble clef” keychain for my keychain collection. Along the way, I met up with one of my friends from my sophomore year (I’m a senior now :O)- it was an interesting conversation. It practically turned my mood from “BAND LIFE- OVER!” to “FIGHT ON!” … And.. I also got one of my freshmen clarinet player a bracelet that says “Drum Major” who isn’t even one. Haha. My best friend bought two bracelets for me :D! It’s super cute ^_^!

Overall, it’s a great day- MARCHING BAND SEASON IS OVER TOMORROW AFTER MY CHRISTMAS PARADE! I am delighted (: – lesson learned: The first and last year of your band years ARE THE BEST. And I’m returning comments later, I have finals week this week and a parade tomorrow. :/

Most of the time, I avoid looking at the camera so I won’t get in trouble for “posing for the camera”. What’s cool is that on the 3rd picture, everyone’s in step :D!

Next Saturday on the 10th, I’m on my way to another field show competition. This time, I’m performing twice: one with my school and the other with All City. I’m excited because after this, marching season is almost over for me (as far as my school goes)! Though what sucks is that I won’t have a winter break this year because of All City- their practices takes place during the break for 2 weeks :/. Next week is finals too! :D

At school, the power went out at 7:15 am, 45 minutes before school officially started. Dumb enough, school was still in session without power! A lot of classrooms were completely dark and a lot of classrooms couldn’t function because of how much it relies on electricity! When I heard the school that occupies inside my school was canceled, I wanted to go home. I got my mother to bail me out of school at 9:30.

Today, I wanted to skip school and I was about to– until the power came back on at 7:25 am. Even though I wanted to stay home and be lazy, my mother convinced me to go to school. The only thing that benefited me from going to school was that we took notes and had homework for Economics.. That’s all.

Tomorrow, I have All City practice once again. I’m not ready because I haven’t memorized the music that was given to us- mainly because trumpet is not my main instrument. But I’ll manage with something down.

I realized that I didn’t qualify for fee waivers for the California State University applications and I have to pay $55 for each application I turn in. At the end, I am paying for 1 university. I am looking forward to paying for another one because who know what will happen. I rather not think about what’s going to happen because of my awful grades- I’m just paranoid and possibly scared I might not get accepted to any university.

With the university applications out of the way, I have time to focus on more important things that is coming up such as All City rehearsals coming up on Saturday, field show competition around the corner the following Saturday, and the Cyber Defense round 2 competition on the Saturday after that. I’m cramming so many things in my senior year with out of school hours activities. I am looking forward to all of this, but I need a break. This year, my winter break is only 1 week considering I’m working 2 hard weeks during the break.

Though I’d like to continue ranting about how nerve wracking my life is, there will always be people who says they have it harder. I’m just happy I didn’t have to pay for my University of California applications! Otherwise it would be a dreadful $280 worth of application fees! To those who will be a senior (12th) grader in high school, I recommend everyone to do everything sooner than later. Procrastination is horrible! And keep in touch with as much people as you can, it surely helps!

I didn’t get that BlackBerry Playbook I wanted because according to reviews, it sucks! My mom picked out and bought a pair of boots for me yesterday. I’m now debating if I should wear it to competition or not :O!

I started playing Mine Craft the other day for the first time. So far, I only played for a total of 3.5 hours. All I have done so far is build a house, expand it, make fences around it, and attempted to make a river along the house. I also worked on a new page for yearbook: Varsity Baseball. For a while, I forgot I was in yearbook- I call myself the “Anonymous Editor” because I never show up to the class and I get my work done at home. I am not completely anonymous because a few people in the class knows who I am.

A few months ago, I started on 2 “articles” that I put a hold on. It’s finally published! For a while, I dropped by my 9th grade English teacher’s class to help her students blog. With that, I was semi-inspired to publish a blogging article. Somehow, I came up with an affiliation article as well.

These past few days has been super busy for me! I have been working on 2 essays I need to turn in with my university applications! On top of all that, I found out I have to pay for 2 or 3 university applications because I don’t qualify for fee waivers! There goes 110 dollars. I’m not applying for any community colleges or any other universities that no one really knows of. I’m applying close to home because ultimately, I love Los Angeles.

I also found out that a deadline for the first draft for the pages in yearbook is on Saturday. I spent around 5 hours working on templates 3 different pages: Band, Color Guard, and Golf/Tennis/Running Club. Those pages look kick-ass if you ask me; compared to the other drafted pages.

I noticed I haven’t updated anything new on this site recently. As always, I blame school and I’ve been working on my Photo Blog as well. I’m almost close to achieving that perfect layout! If you have any requests for tutorials that you want to learn from me, holla in the comments!

Last night, I went to see Breaking Dawn Part 1 after the football game. The game ended at 9:30 and I got out at 10:30- Kevin, his friends and I went to the midnight show because of the crazy lines! The movie was really really interesting considering the story line involves some “rated R action” — something I highly disapprove of right after high school :P.

I got home after 2 in the morning and had to wake up at 4 to go to Tijuana again. This time, I crossed the border at around 7:50am and came back at 10:35am to the US border. I just practically went to Tijuana for a $5.00 slingshot. The vendors wanted $10.00 for it originally. Horray for bargains!

Last week, I ordered a “backpack” from Hollister for 23 bucks online. It was delivered to me today and I found out that it’s now sold for 30 bucks at Hollister now! I must be lucky for snagging a bargain :P.

At the end, my group sold the most houses (which was 4 out of 6 or 7?) in the entire class. Our basic competition was the groups selling co-op’s, trailer parks, and apartment. My group “sold” a house that has an elevator and escalator installed- it’s a fictional game but heck- why not! I pulled out one last customer by selling him “a roommate”. Anything is possible in these Finance activities!

In other news, I took a test in Economics on Monday while I had a 101F fever and I barely passed the test with an A! I say barely passed because if I missed one extra question, I would have had a B. My fever went down, but I still have heavy allergies and a sore throat. On Saturday, I’m going to Tijuana, Mexico again– so here comes another busy-ish weekend.

On Friday, I have another football game. We are playing against a school that only won 2 games this season. It’s weird, but I hope for an easy win. Honestly, I wished football season is over in a way. I’m already beat tired :P. Well– I just want to watch Breaking Dawn Part 1 on Friday.

We had a last minute practice at 8am yesterday. I suddenly became sick in the morning due to the cold with a sore throat and allergies. On top of that, there were light showers here and there! I felt like a dying cat because I kept on sneezing and at one point during the night, my bones started hurting from the cold. That didn’t give me the excuse to not participate in the fieldshow. I did my best and I’m satisfied with the outcome :D!

The band had parents bringing food for lunch and one of the member’s mother made sandwiches for dinner. I also received 2 stuffed kittens {can be found in my November Photoblog} which looks like my cats who passed away earlier this year :/. I chose those because it has significance unlike the other stuffed dogs I received earlier this year :P.

My next competition is on December 10. The only thing different is that I’m going to perform twice- one from my school and one from all city!

Yesterday, I had an all day fieldtrip yesterday to watch Evelyn Glennie- a percussion soloist. For once, I enjoyed a show! I also had a football game the same day during the evening and we won! Our score was 34 and the opposing team: 8. This means we’re going to playoffs next week and I’m a bit excited for that! Today, we’re going to have band practice from 10am til 4pm since our competition is tomorrow. Wish me luck!

In Economics class, we have been discussion about happiness. One topic that stuck on to my mind was, “Does money buy happiness or does happiness buy money?” Apparently, from reading articles provided for me, happiness buys money is the answer. If your intention is to get money, you’ll never achieve total happiness because you will always want more money and when you want more money, you think you don’t have enough which doesn’t make you happy. But when you do have money, you’re just temporarily happy up to 8 weeks or something.

On the other hand, when you’re happy, you’ll get money. When you’re happy doing your job even though it seems crappy, your manager might notice you and for being happy, he/she will give you a promotion! In this case, I made money by doing what I like best: working on websites :D. And… I spent half of the money on 3 totes/bags: 1 for me, 1 for my mom, and 1 for her sister… Out of my own painful kindness. But as they say in LA, thug life!

What was unique about this game was that there was light shower before the game started. It only affected the football players by granting them a muddy field but it isn’t as bad as how we were out in the light showers in our uniform and getting our instruments wet. The only other thing we suffered from was the “extreme cold” that we faced during the game. It’s pathetic if you ask me because people in Los Angeles complains about how cold the weather is when it’s around 60F while cities in the east coast are usually 30F if anything.

Today, I took the SAT Subjects testing for Mathematics 2 and Literature. I don’t know if I did good or not, but it was just decent. In a few minutes, I’ll have to head on over to the All City practice that I haven’t attended for the past 2 weeks. I was supposed to attend a competition today, but I’ll have to drive for an hour to reach the destination, but by the time I get there, the competition would be over already.

This past week.. I had 2 major assignments due which both are from my AP Literature class: an essay and a powerpoint presentation. I have that out of the way and this month, I’m looking into finishing my university applications and the band fieldshow competition we’re in next Saturday.

Yesterday, I didn’t go to the All-City rehearsal even though I could’ve for 3 hours, but I just needed the morning off. I had a band performance at a church which the call time was at 12pm. I don’t know what the event was for, but I’d say it was for some festival. There’s a video of the band performance on YouTube– I’m the clarinet player on the far right (on the left of the trumpet players) with the long hair. What was awkward was that since this performance was at a church-thing, I was thinking that we shouldn’t do pelvic thrusts (which we do in our band songs). At the end, people did it anyways. Afterwards, we got vouchers for free food and drinks! As much as I am 17 years old, 3 other band kids and I went jumping in the jumpers like little children.

Afterwards, we all went back to the school to attend another band event, which was performing at a little league football homecoming game (which is at the school). We got more free food and drinks! These are the events I love attending- perform and get free food!

Tomorrow is Halloween– my friend and I decided on dressing up as guys. I’ll keep everyone informed about what goes on :P.

After the game, I went with Kevin to the Cheesecake Factory… Again! I love going to the factory once in a while, but I kind of wanted to go to Red Robin’s instead. It’s alright, I already had McDonalds twice yesterday for breakfast and lunch! D:!

As far as school goes, I still haven’t started on my personal statement because I don’t know how to start it off :(. I don’t need help from anyone, I want to figure this out on my own. I also realized how complicated cyber-defense is because our goal was to get 10 points out of 10 for Belarc Advisor and so far, I have 1.25 or something out of 10 :(. It’s still all in the working process :D

I’m semi-officially playing bass clarinet for Wind Ensemble next semester. But the only issue is that my band director might put me back to clarinet because of the music the bass clarinet have.

As far as this blog goes, I was thinking about redoing some sections in this site.. But I’m putting that off until I’m on Winter Break. Aside from anything else, I’m still keeping my Photo Blog alive (:

I found out my mid-term grades for school! I have 7 A’s and 1 B. Since I have 1 AP class (which is an A), I should be having a 4.0 GPA! I’m just happy because it’s been a while since I had a 4.0 GPA! Hopefully, I can last with this grade and keep it steady. I also hope that I can boost my overall GPA up :I.

The band didn’t attend this week’s football game because we need to practice our Field Show formations afterschool today. I also partially blame some other factor that shall not be mentioned. Our first competition is on November 12, which is next month! What sucks is that we don’t have all of the formations down yet so I’m a bit worried.

On a brighter side, I might be able to switch to Bass Clarinet next semester for Wind Ensemble. That’s just a maybe! This will be my 5th instrument learned. Theoretically, I can also play French Horn & Trombone, but just the Bb major scale :P– So that’s just cheating my way in!

My personal statements will be a challenge because I need to come up with something that fits the criteria of what I’m suppose to type up. I don’t think I’ll have problem with the “bare minimum” of how long the personal statement should be. I have 2 essays to type up and it might be a challenge!

Kevin and I talked about this earlier and apparently, I just have to brag about myself. Easier said than done! My target choices for colleges are: University of California, Irvine. University of California, Riverside. & Cal Poly Pomona. I want to major in something with Computer Information :(! I can’t do engineering because I’m horrible at Mathematics!

Today, I attended the band rehearsal for All City (The New Years Parade Band). We received new songs, Amazing Grace and The Edge of Glory. What’s awesome about it is that… We’re playing a Lady Gaga song!! Honestly, for the past few weeks, I’ve been having trouble sight-reading trumpet music (because I barely learned how to play trumpet) and somehow, I “easily” played this song straight through. I have some rhythm troubles here and there, but it’s not a biggie. I’m like one of the “few” who knows most of that song’s lyrics!

Next Saturday, I’m going to be taking the ACT exam-thing. Just google the ACT and you’ll probably figure what it is. It’s a test I *take* for a chance for college admission. I somehow suppose that it’s like an IQ test.

There’s not really anything new that’s going on with my life. At the most, I’m still trying to maintain my grades at school. According to my calculations, I should be getting 6 A’s and 2 B or C’s for my classes. I need to keep working hard :I. This month, the only free days I have are on Sundays!

In my sophomore year, I always spend around 20 dollars per week for Football Friday dinners. I didn’t care about my finances because I’m just a brat! Now, I spend around 5 bucks per week for Football Friday dinners. I suppose that I learn- if I save as much money as I can now, I’ll last longer for terms of money-management. Also, I’m trying to save money for that All City trip to Disneyland. I want more of those heavy Trading Pin medals!

I’m still a Lady Gaga fan through these 4 years of high school. I love Lady Gaga from the start of The Fame and today, I still love her with Born This Way! I also still prefer wearing Hollister clothes than anything else as well. My personality hasn’t changed much. I’m not a rebel poser like the morons at school who changes their… Appearance once a season from emo to scene to… Preppy and those crap.

I’m probably more open about myself than sophomore year. I somehow don’t like being called “shy” or “quiet” because that’s now how I really am. I’m a loud-mouth person who likes to socialize with people! Myself, I cannot stand people who are quiet because when I have to talk to quiet people, it’s almost the most awkwardest moment occurring! I remembered having this conversation with some quiet person once. Me: “Excuse me, can you please tell me what the teacher just said?” Person B: “…” Me: “The f$#@, man?!” I remembered that person asking me something like a week later. Tempting to be a… Mean person- I just responded with an appropriate answer. Basically, I’m more of a jerk now :I.

Like it or not, I felt no connection to band in my junior year. I felt out of place and that I didn’t belong there because of the morons who ruined band for me. This year, I feel as if I fit in again and band hasn’t been ruined for me. In 10th grade, I joined this band that takes place outside of my school. This year, I’m doing the same thing, but I’m doing the Rose Bowl Parade!

Edit]] I feel as if I’m being misunderstood. I don’t hate shy/quiet people. I don’t like not being responded to. Don’t get me wrong or anything.

Apparently, a “legendary” or “famous” football player graduated from my school in the 30′s and went to the NFL as the first African-American person to be admitted there? I’m not sure because I couldn’t hear what the people said during their speeches. This means my school is going to have its football field upgraded with fake grass, turf, and an expanded seating for fans and so. Sadly, I’ll be past graduated by that time since it’s going to happen over 4 years.

Another day went by with All City- the band that marches in the New Years Rose Bowl parade. I’m proud to be playing second trumpet, but hitting those high notes are horrid! I suppose I need more practice regardless.

I noticed that I wake up early 6/7 days out of the week. I wake up at 5:25am on weekdays and 6:00 on Saturdays. I usually wake up early because I like to go on the computer and linger around for an hour before getting ready for school and so. I’m thinking about just giving myself an extra 30~45 minutes of sleep every day because I’ll look less of a freak. :D!

If you have been following my twitter or the small chances on this site, you may notice that I transformed my portfolio into a “photoblog”. Pacificity is transformed and I’ll eventually find a place to have my “layout” dump at. These ideas and so are in the process of workings.

I recently took a test for Economics and surprisingly, I was the only student who got an A in the test out of the whole class :O! I apparently nailed the essay question which asked about which economy is better; market or command for making low priced quality shoes. It’s obviously market!

With my busy schedule, I barely realized that I’m behind on Fanlistings and reviews. It’s depressing to even know about it- but I’ll make time to work on what I have to do sometime this or next month.

I also took my senior portraits as well yesterday before the football game. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30 PM, I came in at 1 PM and waited there for 2 1/2 hours. I told one of the supervisors that I have a football game to perform in and I manage to “cut” in front of a few people, saving me a couple of hours! I posed with a tenor saxophone because I already have portraits with my clarinet already and I’m going to have my portraits taken with a trumpet later on as well! After a crazy football night, I had to wake up early this morning because I had to take the SAT. I got to school at 7:45 am and I didn’t get out until 1:30 pm! I think the test was difficult either way because it’s practically an IQ test!

Following the SAT test, I had to drive to this other middle school close by where this “Los Angeles All City Honors Marching Band” takes place at. I barely learned how to play the trumpet in the middle of July and I’m going from 3rd Trumpet to 2nd because I want to push myself. So far, I got the rhythm and “fingerings” for the music. I just need to hit the notes the right way -__-!

There goes my weekend!

Earlier this week, I found out that all of my sites are blocked on my school district’s internet. It sucks because this means that I cannot access my site from school anymore! The only thing that’s good is that thankfully, I don’t have computer class anymore or else I’d be really bored and complain-y at school!

On other news, I’m taking the SAT this Saturday for the second time. I hope I’ll do well and I don’t know if I’ll improve or not! I have been studying here and there and hopefully, my scores will boost a little. After the SAT, I’ll have to drive my way to a band rehearsal that is preparing for the New Years parade.

On Friday, I’m going to attend another Football game. Basically, most of my Fridays these days are booked now! I have so many things to do with classes and extra projects that I don’t have much time to leisure around. ;(

At school, there’s this cool group that’s almost like a “cyber defense team”. From what I know so far, you have to debug a computer to see what’s wrong with it. I think it’s a cool group, but their meetings are afterschools where I have to go home to prepare for the band nightly rehearsals :(. I’m thinking about it though.

Back in the days, I remembered when I loved applying for affiliations with various sites and ended up not communicating with half of the people I have affiliated with. I expected to talk to people who I affiliated with, but I guess those people are just social-awkward or they have this momentum of, “Hey, I’m going to use you to get some hits on my site!”

Gradually, I started shifting and changing my affiliation system around bit by bit. This involves, “If we don’t communicate, you’re going to be booted out.” That was when I didn’t apply for affiliation on people’s site as much. I only applied if I exchange conversations with the site owner before.

Evolution still took place to where I stopped applying for affiliation and just stick with what I have. I only get incomers if I get an application here and there (If I know the owner). I still wanted to lessen the amount of affiliates I had because I think 80 is just too much.

Now, I just completely wiped my sidebar of linkages and just have a navigation link to my what it is now called a blogroll. I stopped caring if I am listed in people’s sites in ever page, I stopped caring about “hurting people’s feelings” if I wiped people out because they never or rarely talk to me. I may be deemed as an asshole, but I care about the people I have conversations with- not the people who I barely know.

I finally have access to edit the yearbook page online! I am excited because I can finally start working on the band yearbook pages! On top of that, I ordered marching band shirts and it came! I’ll post a picture of ‘em sometime later.

My school’s football team won yet another game! The score was really close: 20 to 19. When we got to the school {it was an away game}, we realized that we will have to stand and sit on the same side of where the opposing school fans sit. We were right next to the other band! What was odd during the game was that 2 minutes before the 1st quarter ended, the referees paused the game because of lightning! I’m amazed because this is the first time that something like this happened. During the time, my friend and I went to have a nice conversation with the opposing school’s band.

What was also odd during the football game was that 8 minutes before 4th quarter ended, the referee’s yelled at the other school’s band and told them to stop playing. I suppose my band director didn’t see that happening, so we ended up playing a stand tune 30 seconds after the other school’s band stopped playing. A moment after, some guy got pissy and yelled at my band director- saying that the referee wanted to talk to him. Apparently, the band was “too loud” with the songs. It’s all just ridiculous!

With all of these “stress” talk, I have to do an assignment for Economics that includes making a collage of “Things That Makes Me Happy”. So far, I have listed around 24 “things” that makes me happy. I somehow think I half-assed some of these “things” that makes me happy like Disneyland. Yes, I am happy when I am there, but I don’t go there often. I sound like a stressed/depressed moron right now. But it’s okay. It’s part of life.

I found out my grades for the first quarter of school. So far, I see 6 A’s and 1 B. That B is for Library Service- which involves myself doing “library practice”.

I have a new layout– once again. It’s just another make-over I wanted to apply on the site. The only difference is that my sidebar is a bit different. I’m just not that excited in life as of now. There’s also some dramas that’s ridiculous at school as of now. Oh well.

I have recently won a random raffle giveaway from Tiff. The prize was mailed to my home- which was received yesterday when I was at school. I didn’t get home until 10PM & I opened the package as soon as I got to my table. It was like a “kawaii” (cute) dream coming true :O! There was a bag, mini journal, cute little playing cards, 2 Rilakkuma (the bear) cellphone charms {one doll & one shoe}, a MonoEye collectable charm {IT’S A KITTY! :D}, and a pencil case! Everything is just cute and thank you, Tiff :D!

I realized that for the rest of 2011, my Saturdays are occupied (as I can see). Today, I’ll have to go to school and convince the alumni association to donate money to the band. Next Saturday, I’ll have to go to some “leadership campaign” at LA High to do some cheer-kick-off thing. The Saturday after, I’ll have to do the SAT and go to band practice with All-City.

I could finally hit the high G on the Trumpet! That means instead of going to “third chair” in the trumpet section, I can try out for “second chair”!

Yesterday, we had our second football game of the season. We won with the score of 28 to 12! I love victories! :)

We had our first pep rally yesterday :D! I was excited because I got to perform in front of plenty of people from my school. I always loved performing in front of crowds at school because I feel superior in a bad ass way. I went to eat with two of my friends at Subway afterschool before call time.

What I hate about wearing uniforms is that I have to tie my hair up. I’m not used to having my hair tied up and it’s gross (for my hair). We got to perform our show at halftime! I memorized all of the music as of now :D!

At the end, we won the football game- 21 to 20. After the game, I went with best friend to eat a post-game dessert at the cheesecake factory. We made a bet about whichever school scored more points gets more to eat. My school: 21 points; best friend’s: 10.

The only difference from last year is that I didn’t do captains salute because I’m not in “field leadership”. I’m just an “office leadership”. Oh well, ‘least my job is exciting- I am making the “Bandquet” slideshow, the band’s yearbook pages, some cool fliers, and anything else that’s media/design related! Except for recording videos because I can’t be in 2 places at once.

On other news, I barely registered for the October 1 SAT & October 22 ACT testing today! What’s a bad thing is that I’m planning to do the New Year’s Rosebowl Parade; their band rehearsals are on Saturdays- the same days. I think I’m going to have a hard time getting into college because of my fail-gpa of 2.2 . .

This week, I accomplished a goal that I wanted to achieve since freshmen year: YEARBOOK! My best friend and band director helped me out on this along with the fantastic support from the yearbook sponsor- I’m just designing 2 pages for the band. Heck, I’m even happy that I’m doing this for the yearbook. I’ll make history :)! If anyone tries to steal this job away from me, I’ll go savage this time -__-. My best nerd comeback would be something like, “I’m Dr. Photoshop. What about you, MS Paint in training?”

This has been a busy week- so excuse my lag of returning comments. It shouldn’t matter because I make awesome comments. I also have a football game tomorrow. I don’t need luck in anything, because as long as I have fun {and no one ruins it}, I’m fine.

I just hope that I finally get to order the band shirts by before Thursday. In the last minute, I got blown off for a calculation error that almost no one cares about; to have your name customized on the back, it actually does cost an extra 5 bucks to do. Only one person is giving me a hard time- but I don’t really care ^_^.

On other news, I finished 2 of my newly-approved fanlistings! {1 & 2} This is actually the first time that I successfully installed a slider on any of my sites! I think this is an accomplishment because every time I tried in the past, I get blown off. Otherwise, I have only finished one review this weekend.

I don’t remember if I mentioned about purchasing a $25 photo album recently. Regardless, I bought a $25 photo album a month or two ago and I’m trying to fill it with the band memories I took from 10th grade til… I graduate! So far, I have 50 pictures in the album slots. 250 more to go.

I just came back from Tijuana, Mexico a couple of hours ago. It just takes us 3 1/2 hours to drive to the border, except that we park our car in the US & take the shuttle there. This is my first time going to Mexico in general and that place.. Smells like old pee (or sewers according to my friend). It reminds me of Downtown LA (around the fashion district) because it’s basically the same setting.

As cheesy and cheap my parents are, they decided to get their teeth done there. Not only that it’s done a lot better, it’s also a lot cheaper! These dentists that we went to are actually American-credentialed dentists; they studied here and move to TJ for god knows why. I got my teeth done here today for the first time. One of my old fillings that a dentist did 2 years ago broke off; my parents paid an additional 80 bucks to have the filling done even though I had dental insurance. In Tijuana, I got my teeth deeply cleaned and the filling done for 90 bucks. The best part is that I got numbing ointment applied on to my gums! No one that I know of does it here in California -__-!

Something that was mind-blowing was that I saw a zebra-looking donkey. I thought it was a hybrid at first.. Until I went on Google just a bit ago and checked it out. It’s just a Zebra-Painted Donkey. Those men tried “selling” me a snapshot of the zebra-donkey for 10 bucks. I stole a crappy snapshot of it for free. I feel horrid for these zeb-key.

Last month, I applied for a couple of fanlistings. Conveniently, I have been accepted on this lovely 4 day weekend. I’ll be working on the 2 fanlistings, replying to 15 comments, and attempt to get some reviews done. I also have 2 English assignments to do and a vocab Econ assignment to do.

I’m starting this “trend” of myself wearing a set of crazy ring charms or whatever you call it on my belt straps these days. Except that I just wear half of the set to school because everything all together is just too much for school. One of the set is my band hallpass that I designed for the leadership in band, the Hello Kitty charm, and a starfish silver thing. The other set features a Disneyland medal, a “crappy” bottle cap opener that looks cute, the D&G phone charm, the plastic with my ID card in it, and a water bottle holder.

I haven’t been a part of the reviewing cliche for a while now. With that said, I finished 2 more reviews and I have 6 in my queue slot as of now. It’s weird because during the summer, I didn’t have much to do!

For a while, I wanted to start out a new project. Yesterday, I took the liberty and stepped it up- – I made a Blog Listing. This is just a list that compiles personal blogging sites into one page without a requirement of a link back. Also, if you want to be added, do NOT mention it in the comments below. Because I will definitely be rude to you (there’s a time and place for that!)

Other than that, school’s been going on alright. I have a 4 day weekend coming up starting Friday! Except that I might go to ANOTHER bowling fundraiser on Thursday {your call, best friend}, going to the beach with the band on Friday, and going to Mexico on Saturday. I’m not Hispanic, yet I’m going there anyways. I’m pretty awesome :P

On Monday.. The band had to go up on the PE field for the last period of the day. My friend told me to hold his baritone {Just Google it if you don’t know!} and I held it in the wrong position and the valve fell off, causing the baritone to drop to the floor. There’s a huge dent on the baritone and it even shattered my heart. I’m trying to look for a brass dent repair as of now.

On Wednesday, we had the weekly night practice. This is where the band goes up to the PE field and practice some band commands. It was pretty fun, but it was tiring. I’m also in charge of ordering the band shirts this year! I am finally making it happen after what.. 3 Years?!

Today, at 3:30pm, my calico cat died. She suffered the same fate as the other two of my cats did. Same mother, same birth group. It’s not cool, but life moves on. I just hope she’s in a better place now.

I’m semi-busy as of now with school and offline work. This only means I’m going to lag in everything online: replying to comments, making awesome articles and reviews, and replying to e-mails. But this doesn’t mean that I’m skipping ‘em. Life is awesome and I love it!

This year, I’m liking all of the classes that I have. The thing is: Whenever I’m in a regular class, I’m ahead of the game. Whenever I’m in an AP class, I’m behind of the game. I don’t even understand people who even take 3 AP courses in freshmen year! I’ll just break down my classes.

My first period class is now Library Service. This is where I organize the books at the library and get some silent reading done. I like this class so far because I now have a chance to read this book, “Death by China”. This book is basically exposing the naked truth of the horrid nature of China in today’s world. I’m head in my Physiology class at the moment. I did all of the vocabulary and I’m good to go at the moment.

AP Literature is a challenging class because I’m not good with analyzing poems or any text. I still managed to write a 2 sided essay analyzing 2 poems earlier today! I got the speed, but not the sense :/. I love Economics because it’s all about the money and the gamble for it. You will never know what will happen tomorrow! Statistics so far is alright, better than my experience with AP Calculus last year.

The ladies in the admissions office loves me and my friend as their service students! In this office, you can find index cards that contains the check-outs of students from my school. I found my dad and his friends’ check-out card from the 80′s! Marching Band is nice in 8th period because I usually feel worn out after that class going on to the next. Best thing ever! I’m just annoyed that a woman-basher is in that class at the moment. Yes, there is a guy who hits girls, chase girls, and is a creep. In middle school, he was a total creep to me. He never left me alone in a sense that I feel like I’m going to get violated by that creep. No names mentioned.

Finance 1/Planning.. That class is interesting as far as learning about banks, finance, and loans! This is the easiest class ever. You just need to take notes and the tests and quizzes are open notes! I remembered today, we had a quiz. A bonus question asked, “Why is the sky blue?” Someone asked me for the answer. I said, “Because God made it that way.” My friend answered, “Because it is.”

I’ll be doing my web-business duties during the weekend! Which is returning fantabulous comments, fixing 2 of my fanlistings, join more fanlistings, and more.

Physiology sounds like an interesting class to begin with. It’s like an in-depth class that focuses on the human body and the organs inside of it. I’m just hoping that the teacher won’t squeeze perfectionism out of the living life of myself! We did an assignment that involves a poll and a short essay about myself. One of the optional thing to do is to draw a scientist that I think will look like. I somehow imagined Shaun White to be a scientist.

I have Economics with this teacher that a few of my friends like. I just have to be prepared by the massive work that this class provides. I’m acceptable to it, as long as I put the right effort, I’ll be fine.

I have a Service period this year for the first time in my life! I’m basically a student-helper for whichever class/place that I am assigned to. At the moment, I am assigned to this smallish room that takes care of transcripts, student check-in/check-outs, and organize papers. Even though I can’t really do my homework here for the time being, I can be productive and useful for others.

In Band class, I realized that there’s only 2 (or 3) clarinet players. We ran through music for 15 minutes or so. After school, we had “homework time” – where the students do their homework instead of practicing. During this time, I finished my English homework! But I realized that I can only do my homework correctly in peace and quiet. I also practiced the trumpetta afterwards. I am finally using a Yamaha and it’s beautiful.

2 days down of school. 178 or something to go. If everything goes according to plan; instead of ending school on June 2, I end on May 29! Give or take the days. I also discovered that my Finance1/Planning teacher is a fan of plastic reeds as well! I love plastic reeds- it’s more unique than the traditional wooden ones :P

In French 3, the people in the class decorated the classrooms with French-Related posters. I didn’t take part in that and I just became an unsocial freak. My parents told me to drop this class for something better and I definitely agree with that. I don’t think I want to take French 3. It’s going to be another year of unnecessary hell.

AP Literature was a bit of a downfall because I didn’t do any summer reading because I was late into the game plan. I have to purchase the book, “The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien”. Borders is closing down so I hope I can find something useful with their awesome discounts and clearance. I hate how I am forced to sit in the back for the time being- especially in a crappy seat!

If I knew there was regular statistics, I would’ve taken that class last year instead of the dreadful AP Calculus- which screwed up my academic life. That AP Calculus teacher that I had was really good- but he is a brutal teacher that moves in his own pace. This statistics class sounds doable at the level that I’m at.

At first, nothing else was on my mind except for dropping Finance 1/Planning. My counselor is one sneaky woman because I always had some interest in these economic-related elements. Halfway through the class, the teacher said he used to be in a Marching Band back in his days. I was a bit surprised because it’s rare to hear about these occasions!

Tomorrow, I’ll be introduced to the next 4 classes that’s in my schedule: Physiology, Economics, Service, and Marching Band.

My summer flew by moderately quick. My summer was pretty much above the normal. I went to band practices, went to band camp, went to freeload things at X-fest, went to Disneyland, celebrated my birthday like a food junkie, and did so many little side things like eating out here and there.

My 12th grade year starts tomorrow. I don’t know what is in stored for me, but I have a clue about my schedule. So far, I have Government/Economics, Physiology, Literature, Statistics, Band, Service, French 3, and Home. I’m really really rusty with my french since I skipped a year purposely- – same with Statistics/Math. There goes my chances of getting into a decent university.

I got everything almost ready. Except that I haven’t done my duty of buying a book for AP Literature :(. I’m so behind in everything. Oh well, thug life and fight on. As of now, I don’t know of any band events that’s coming up besides the competitions on November and December!

We basically talked about what’s going to happen on senior year. As far as I am concerned, I just want to take my senior portraits, purchase a senior sweatshirt, purchase the panorama picture, and purchase the yearbook. I’m hoping that I can learn the trumpet as much as I can so I can participate in this band that marches in the New Year’s Rose Bowl Parade. I need more community service hours!

As promised on my previous post(s), I am posting a picture of the new kitten on this blog post. His name is Phelps and he’s adorable. Phelps is more active than the other cats at my house. But the other cats in the house hisses at him so it’s a bit of a.. Downfall right now.

On the past couple of days, I was pretty much working on various things that’s website-related. I have a hefty amount of disk space on my reseller account. I’m providing free hosting for anyone that’s interested. So I made a Hosting Site. With the tear dropping drop in the stock market, a recession is coming again!

For a while, I wanted to make a domain collective or something. I finally took the time to make one calling it, The Network and just list my current and past projects on there. I wanted to purchase another domain, but I realized it’s for ONE page. I don’t even want to be bothered by the renewal fees of next year as well.

For fun, I also installed an ask script. Go ahead and ask some appropriate questions and I’ll go ahead and answer them. Formspring is just full of bots these days!

As for the kitten that I mentioned about in the previous post, I am keeping that kitten as of now. My dad didn’t agree to it, but my mom overruled it. He’s adorable to an extent where he purrs non-stop and he tries to eat non-stop -__-!

We practiced marching to sample drills all 4 days. This includes some commands like.. Attention, about face, left face, parade rest, and etc. At the end, we had a mini drill-down where the band members competed to see who’s better at performing the commands. I was one of the 4 last remaining band member standing!

During the mornings, we went practicing marching on the football field. Sometimes, the sprinklers would randomly turn on and people would get wet from them. I got soaking wet on the last 2 days of band camp and it was pretty fun! The only thing that’s not fun is that I’m stuck with wet shoes and socks! But it was worth it.

At the end of the 4 days of band camp, my neck is burned from the back, my arms and legs are unevenly tanned. It is horrible! Hopefully, exfoliation will help!

Yesterday, my friend found a homeless kitten on the football field. We ended up taking the homeless kitten to my house. Everything went well until my dad found out. Now he’s giving out low blows to get rid of the kitten. He keeps on giving threats to get rid of the kitten, then threw the dang kitten to the neighbor’s house.

For a while, I wanted to make videos of me doing music covers of various songs by Lady Gaga with my clarinet. So far, the songs that are looking good to go to be recorded are Telephone, Dance in the Dark, and maybe Judas.

I’m a simple person when it comes to simple things like wallets. As much as I would love to have a Coach wallet or a Louis Vuitton wallet, I’m not even near that stage of wealth. Instead, I use a wallet that is.. Full of monkeys! I think it is cute- even though I don’t know what they’re saying :*(. Before this wallet, I was using a Disney’s The Aristocats themed wallet. It’s still nice, but it’s smaller than this wallet. In most cases, I don’t use this monkey wallet a lot- I use it as a storage and I bring it with me when I’m carrying more than 60 dollars going somewhere.

In this wallet, I keep the tickets used to go to theme parks around Los Angeles, California. The ticket on top was bought on December 21, 2009 going to Universal Studios with a couple of friends. The second ticket was used on May 24, 2009 where I went to Disney’s California Adventures with one of my best friends. The third ticket was used on June 9th of 2007- where I somehow got lucky in a raffle and won a seat to go into Disneyland park with the advanced orchestra (I was in intermediate at the time). The last 2 was from last month’s Disneyland trips with another couple of my good friends, but I forgot to give one of the tickets back to them -__-! I’m bummed out that I can’t find the Disney ticket that I had in 2008 :c.

I also have some cards in this wallet as well. As much as I love using gift cards, I’ve been having this American Eagle gift card for 2~3 years now. For some reason, I haven’t been to American Eagle and I have 2 bucks in that card. If only it can be converted into Hollister cash :P! I also have an old card that Kevin & I used to use to gain credit points and redeem them for discounts at American Eagle :P. The cards with the guy printed on was Hollister gift cards- that I used instantly :P. And the ones with the dog on it are discount cards– that just expired on the recent Sunday :X.

I don’t keep my receipts in my wallet- unless they’re recent. But I do keep receipts and tags in my drawer for future reference or for the heck of it.

After the speech, we went to the booths what was set up in front of Staples Center. A lot of these booths have staff members from sponsored companies giving away free food, poster, and etc. Mostly, I care about free food because I brought nothing but quarters and coins. There was a booth that had people giving away beef jerky. I remembered that the staff members told my friends that they could only get one. I constantly went back to that booth and got at least 30 bags of trial-sized beef jerky and at least 8 bags for my band teacher as well. I was getting nothing but FREE FOOD! Even if it is a sample size, free food is free food.

There was some interesting display all around the booths! There was a spot where artists can paint trashcan bins to promote recycling. As a recent Disney fanatic, I found this bin below interesting.

At the end, I had a lot of fun freeloading free things. I don’t feel guilt because it’s like I’m going to bump into these same staff members in the future. Even if I do, they’re not going to remember me. Then several hours after I got home, I watched the X Games skateboarding live event on HD. For some reason, I get hyped up over guys doing air tricks and falling off their boards like how people do over inaccurate throws in football games.

This is a picture of me when I was around 7 years old, taken in 2001. I think I had some missing teeth back then when this picture was taken -__-! Though, for some reason.. I look like some child who’s been abused or something. I blame the crappy teachers in my elementary school who loves to yell at children and make them cry.. Often.

This is me when I was 11, in 6th grade. I was into wearing something like headbands because my mom didn’t want me to cover my face with my hair. Though.. I don’t really know why my skin tone appears to be tan or something. I guess it’s from being over-exposed to the sun from elementary school :X.

And finally, this is me.. A couple of weeks ago when I went to Disneyland. This is me- as a 17 years old senior (12th grade). Though my face structure stayed the same, my hairdo changed again. And 98% of the time, I don’t smile in pictures because I have an awful teeth structure as I have a massive underbite. Though, I am a lot lighter than I was several of years ago. But to say the least, I do like the way I look because I’m stuck with myself. FOR LIFE.

And I came up with another layout. For the past week, I had a feeling that I wanted a new layout. All I know is that I wanted to do some major changes. That didn’t happen because at the end, the way the layout is – is already perfect.

A month ago, I received an iPhone 3G. I refuse to use this as a phone, but I am going to use it as an iPod Touch. The only downside is that I download games like Scrabble and Monopoly and get bored of it within 8 games.

This Friday, I am apparently going to go and watch the X Games live at a convention center near where I live. I’m not sure what it is, but I heard it’s some kind of an extreme sports event. At first, I didn’t want to go. But this is my senior year, I want to have as much fun as possible outside of my house :P.

I spent the night fixing up the layout for my so-called Portfolio. I think the layout is better than what it is before. I just want to keep everything simple and “cute”.

I am going to Tijuana, Mexico on September 3. It usually takes a couple of hours to drive from LA to there. I’m going this time because my wisdom teeth might need to be removed- the top set is starting to form and it’s swelling the gum below it.

For the past 3 years, my life depends on these “pocket calendars” for reminders and memories. I remembered getting one every year from 6th~8th grade- except that I somehow threw them all away during my January 2009 spring cleaning. I got a “ghetto” pocket calendar in 9th grade; I made the best use out of it.

In 10th grade, I received a proper pocket calendar; one that looks like a spiral notebook. I realized that I was a psychopath back in the days. During the month of October 2009, I filled up the pocket calendar with horoscopes. Sometimes, those horoscopes somehow relates to my day one way or another. Note that I usually read my horoscopes at the end of each day.

I didn’t know what it meant- until that weekend {the day after the 7th} where I met a few more people in this holiday band I joined that changed my life and kind of the way I act. I became a bit more of an independent person who doesn’t rely on others as much.

I was pretty much depending my “tomorrow” or “next week” on horoscopes to the point where I was sucked trying to figure out how today’s horoscope relates to what I did and what I’m going to do. This horoscope shenanigan only lasted a month from October until November 9.

11th grade- I had to buy a pocket calendar on my own because one could not be provided for me by the school due to budget cuts. Instead of writing myself my horoscope readings, I kept it simple. Future events and what I need to do.

And now, I’m trying to stay as organized as possible and keep up with my to-do list. I’m not going to bother keeping the same handwriting because my typography is horrible!

We got free admission because one of the friends work at DCA. Disneyland is ALWAYS packed no matter what. We got fastpasses into Space Mountain. We got out of Disneyland and got a freakin’ wheelchair for those wheelchair accessible rides. It was free- – I then became “the handicapped one”. The cool thing about it is that the wheelchair got us into the shorter line with a shorter wait. We got on a few rides and watched the Air National Guard Band from the Southwest played a few “patriotic” songs. Then ate at some new place that opened up last week supposedly.

We hopped back to Disneyland and that’s where the addiction happened. My friend and I decided to spend around 50 dollars (with 20% off) dedicated to pins. Except that I spent 30 bucks on 5 pins and a zip pouch for the pin trading thing. I think it’s worth it. We got into more wheelchair accessible rides and got to Space Mountain. We pretty much hopped back and fourth between Disneyland and Disneyland California Adventures.

At the nearly end of the night, I was itching for just a few more pins. I wanted a pin that has Mickey Mouse as a sorcerer with a sand bottle, but some jerk somehow ripped the cap of the sand bottle and ruined the pin! I ended up getting one of the big Disneyland Lanyard Metals. There goes a total of 40 dollars into the Walt Disney company.

At the end, we watched the World of Color show. It was pretty nice except for the fact that you have dirty fountain water splashing at your face. I had fun being in the wheelchair, spending money, not waiting in regular lines, and just being there with my friends.

Now, it’s time to get to work on the sites.

On July 19th, I will be eligible to officially test for a driver’s license. I don’t understand why my mother is so pushy about me getting one! It’s not like my parents are going to buy me a brand new Mustang! I’m not usually open about the little things that I like. I personally have a thing for new Mustangs. I’m just 17 and I rather get a car when I really need one- like when I’m 21 or something.

This recent week during the weekdays, I went out for a swim here and there daily. I ended up with dry cracking skin on my feet and bleeding due to the fact I attempted to peel ‘em. Lesson learned: Chlorinated water is not your friend.

I don’t understand some telemarketers these days. For a while, there was this particular phone call that constantly calls my house looking for my dad. Most of the time, my dad is not home because he’s at work. Yesterday, I decided to pick up the phone to see what’s up. First, there was a lady talking to me in a “strict” tone asking for my dad. I said, “My dad’s not here–” She interrupts and says, “I’ll call back later.” A few hours later, the same number was calling with the same crap as before. I checked the phone number on Google- apparently it’s some scam from people pretending to be representatives from Bank of America. I told my dad what happened and when they called again, he was messing with them- not being interested.

On the other day, I went to the mall with Kevin. I asked him, “If you had to pick a pair of shorts for a female friend, what would you pick?” For a guy who often wears plaid shorts, he picked a pair of shorts like the ones below. I ended up buying the Hollister attire.

I ended up getting a new domain for my fanlistings collective. I figured- there’s no turning back now. I’m still working it out bit by bit with the transfer. I also finished 4 more reviews and I currently have 2 in the queue slot. I have also upgraded my hosting thingr to reseller- I figured I don’t need unlimited disk space and so for now. I barely even use 1gb in disk space all together!

As far as the writing portion on this site goes, I made a comeback and made a review on Lady Gaga’s new album: Born This Way. It’s not really a review, it’s just an “article” that I came up with stating my thoughts about the songs in the album. With that said, I have finished 3 reviews on people’s sites and I have around 6 in my queue. I’ll eventually get through all of ‘em.

There’s nothing in life going on much these days. I’m pretty happy about it because I’m feelin’ too lazy as of now. There hasn’t been any updates about the Disneyland/Vegas/Tahoe/Laguna trips. I’m not really expecting myself to go to Vegas though, it’s out of my budget.

As far as summer goes, there’s nothing really big coming up except for.. A personal trip to Disneyland, a chance to go to Las Vegas to watch the Cirque du Soleil show, & going to Lake Tahoe again and/or Laguna Beach. I’m not sure if I am going to the Vegas trip though. I’ll need to ask my parents for 80 bucks ‘~’.

My goals for the next few days is to fix up my fanlistings, get some “work” done on this site, and a few minor things that I don’t know about. Apparently, I have a new project; I am currently in charge of my band’s website. I’m currently working under a co.cc domain until I figure that the site is not going to be a fail and buy a domain. The layout is really basic, but I’ll probably end up using a premade because the layout I’ve thought of is harder to make than said.

My parents are going to Tijuana again from Los Angeles. That means I’ll have the house to myself again. My first plan is to make a cake for my friend’s birthday then after that.. Do whatever comes in my mind.

This is the last few days of the SOTF contest that I’m entered in. Please vote for Satisromance and I’ll give you.. An invisible baked treat of your choice. I never entered icon contests before nor have I really made icons for contests before.

For a second time within a year, there was a massive power outage in my community of Los Angeles. I was left without electricity from 7:30 PM until 11:45 PM. It wasn’t much of a big deal because we still had access to water. At times, I dislike technology because it is never always perfect D:!

At times, I like to be neat and organized. As a person who likes to sign up in so many sites, I needed to keep my usernames and password somewhere. I decided to use the box that one of my parent’s iPhones came in- and kept index cards in there with my info written on it. The only thing that can go wrong with this idea is if my house gets robbed and some jerk thought there was an iPhone in the box.

I also got the results from the SAT testing that I took on the 4th of this month. I never took and SAT prep classes or anything- at the most, I just took the PSAT. My score– is 1470. I’m semi-bummed out about it.

my new favorite song is neon knights by black sabbath ;D ! in the morning, it was the usual. 1st period, badminton. 2nd period, laptop and stuff. nutrition, same old. 3rd is the same old. ;P 4th, book work. lunch, same at the band room. 5th, boring work. 6th, quiz and talk. afterschool, i went to kae`s then watch star trek. i slept, LOLOL ! after the part where the ships were fighting in space i think? then idk, LOL i slept.

Several months later during the fall season of that year, I moved on to 10th grade. I blogged differently; short and cut. It wasn’t as bad.

I used to enjoy using song lyrics as post titles and song names as titles- until I ran out of songs, of course. Now, I try to come up with a catchy title that might relate to the blog post. My mind now does not work as easily as it did before- now I actually care to make some sense when I’m blogging. At the end, my blogging habits changed. But it isn’t perfect… Yet.

So far during my summer vacation, I haven’t done much. On average, I stayed at home working on this site and play World of Warcraft. Then at around 2 in the afternoon, I go out on my own to pick my brother up from school. This happens when people aren’t finished from school yet! At the most, I went out during the weekend& I’ll go out tomorrow for the Green Lantern movie & a Band leadership meeting.

Next week on the 22nd of June, it is going to be my 2 kitten’s 1st birthday! I’m not going to make a big party, but I’ll come up with something witty. Even if I’ll have to buy Fancy Feast {Cat Food Brand}. So far, I just made a wall collage with over hundreds of pictures of my kittens :O! Even though they should be called cats by this time.

I noticed I haven’t been posting any “artwork” lately. It’s because I lost interest in it. A couple of weeks ago, my friend brought a sketchbook for her friends to sign. I managed to snag 5 awesome pages for quick sketches. If you want to exit, press esc.

With a birthday, comes a new layout. I tried to make something different this time. But it didn’t happen, at the most, I changed around things here and there. Such as some brush splashes here and there, a bit more organized sidebar, and the rest.. You can see for yourself :P. Maybe sometime in the future- is when I can make some different layout. For now, I’ll just stick to this simple layout.

After a long time, I finally made another tutorial. For those who wants a way to use custom fonts that not everyone has installed, feel free to refer to the guide. My goal for the next few days is to create another fanlisting- because I just got approved to create one for the BlackBerry! :)!

A few weeks ago, I made a post complaining about how the city house inspectors made my parents manually remove the roof that covers the cars in the parkway because it supposedly has no permit. My parents finally finished removing it- on their own. It just took 2 days to remove everything, and one day to do the finishing removing and touches. I guess it is a good thing- now I don’t need to turn on the lights in my room for 12 hours daily now!

I don’t often read, because it’s not my thing. When I read, I prefer to read writings by Chuck Palahniuk. I read Diary and Invisible Monsters before. I just bought myself a copy of Choke. I probably discovered books of Chuck because Panic at the Disco is influenced by Chuck. I liked reading Diary- and as for Invisible Monsters.. I just know it’s about some beautiful person that got caught in a house fire that turned her into.. An ugly person. I don’t know, it wasn’t that interesting. :X

As far as affiliation goes. I’ve convinced myself to fix the system again. Hopefully, there won’t be as much complaints as I have read last time. I’m serious, I’m not expecting everyone to be commenting every day, but I do expect people not to comment like once a month. Everyone’s different with their preferences.

As far as this site goes.. I’m going to work on the reviews this week. I have around 4 sites to review as of now. I changed the navigation and the header colors a bit- it’s a great improvement. & If you have friends who wants a free domain, feel free to direct ‘em here.

After the graduation ceremony, the band just played most of the rock charts {stand music} and music that I had to improvise. I love to improvise music sometimes- only if others are doing it too. Then took some pictures with people. At the end, we went downstairs to wait for the band room to open. A few people from drumline played some of their cadences, and I decided to jump in and play “Get Down” on the bass drum :P. I did pretty good for a beginner.

As for the site, I’m going to do some sort of a clean-up for affiliation or something. Recently, I have been “strict” about affiliation. So I gotta do something about that. That’s the current plans& I have to redo some pages here.

Recently, I have been blogging about me working on the BandQuet Slideshow. As far as that goes, it was a success. It was my first time making anything like that, besides me making some MMV’s {google it!} in the past, which took a lot of time and editing. I was working with iMovie on the Mac, this time- I rather work with Sony Vegas on my laptop. As far as lessons I’ve learned, when picking out songs, I should listen to the whole song beforehand. And spend time reviewing the pictures, because there was some that has duplicates. Bleh! But a lot of people liked it and I’m happy :)!

There’s just one more thing to do- play that never ending Pomp and Circumstance in the graduation today! After today, real summer begins (:! Speaking of summer, for some odd reason, this year is colder than usual. By now, I should be sweating pigs instead of looking for camp fire warmth.

I also finished my finals for Physics! I had a written test about the Electromagnetic Spectrum or something. I think I did well. I am finally done with Physics, thank god.

So far, my task is to make certificates and make the band slideshow. Hopefully, I’ll get the position. If not, I’ll be sad and disappointed. But you know what? It’s always worth a try. This year, I heard the leadership group will be more.. Carefully watched- like censored. Even on Facebook, the people need to act more “mature” in ways that you can’t post pictures/statuses of you getting drunk. Even though I don’t do that anyways. :P

The next 2 to 3 days will be busy. Keep the comments coming, I’ll reply to them sooner than… Obama signing a bill. That’s a horrible comparison, but let’s just say- he takes a long time to sign a bill; that’s what I hope.

My birthday is in 9 days! June 14. What is good about it is that.. I don’t need to be at school :D! Just two more days- and a few hours until it’s all over! :D! I’m not going to classes tomorrow and kinda the day after. I need to study for an essay finals for Physics. It is horrible that.. I cannot “bs” it. -__-!

Today, I took the SAT. It’s some stupid exam that tells college how ready you are, etc. Or something, I don’t care. I just took it so I can get it over with. It’s 4 friggin’ hours of testing. English and math. Thankfully, I brought my calculator- which made my life a bit easier. It’s not that the test is hard- it’s just that the test has so many questions- you’re tired of it!

I’ll try to work on the site a bit this weekend. As of now, I don’t know what to add on or modify. In a few hours or so, I’ll find something to work on.

For a little over a month, I have been working on several horrible US History projects. It includes a 90 slide Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, a poster with 4 “ingredients”, and a 4 page essay; all about the Cold War. This teacher is BEAST. or Savage. Whichever.

And finally, the rocket project for Physics is over! Our rocket flew 60 meters high into the sky. Tomorrow, we’re going to do a relaunch- but with a “bigger” engine :)! And next Tuesday, on the last day of school, we have to write an essay on a random subject we’ll be given! -___-!

I somehow broke my 18 year old alarm clock. I’m thinking about getting rid of it the next time a power outage resets it. Now, I have to use my obnoxious BlackBerry to wake me up. I’m still looking for an obnoxious song that will wake me up. Right now, my “alarm” song is {Illmerica by Wolfgang Gartner}. Seriously, I’m turning into some electrohouse kid. :C.

In 16 more days… It is my 17th birthday! It’s unbelievable because it was just yesterday that I was 14. -___-! I wish I was 14 again because everything was easier back then! Seriously. And I’m used to having birthdays on a school day! Speaking about school, this is finals week! I know there’s a book talk for English, “Lefty-’lympics” for Band, Cold War presentation for US History, Rocket launch for Physics, more running for PE, Photoshop projects for Computers, and as for the other 2 classes, I just have 2 “free periods” in the counselor’s office.

I have revamped the content page! For some reason, I have thought the page looked a bit dull. I tried my best to spiffy it up. It worked in a way and I love the outcome! I still have reviews to do and fix up some minor things around the site here & there. I also extended the domain giveaway event because of God knows why. I would like anyone to join. Especially you sub-domainers/co.ccers. Seriously. It’s not like you gotta donate blood in order to win!

I really hate how short earphones last. 1 BlackBerry earphone lasted me 5 months. My first Apple iPod earphone lasted me 10 months. My second Apple iPod earphone lasted me 3 months. My third Apple iPod earphone lasted me 1 month. My 5 JVC Gumy earphones lasted me around 2 months in average– each. I just got another JVC Gumy earphone- because I don’t want to steal the Nokia & iPhone earphones that’s laying wrapped in my house. I guess that’s the beauty of inexpensive products. But I do not understand why these iPod earphones are like 35 bucks- and it lasts short. I don’t even want to go out and buy a hundred dollar earphone either because of the same outcome! Oh paranoia.

I went to my middle school yesterday with the band to play some rock charts. I saw a couple of my previous teachers. That history teacher who recommended me into honors classes in 7th grade, my middle school music teacher, and my previous P.E. teacher. My brother liked the band, apparently.

I have an outside of class project to do right now- It’s for the band slideshow that is going to be presented in the “BandQuet” {Banquet}. I claim I can make a better slideshow- and I will make a better slideshow. The only problem is that I am stuck with iMovie- which is a Mac program. I rather use Sony Vegas because it’s more flexible with me. But I’ll have to deal with iMovie for now.

Hopefully, if everything goes according to plan, I’m going to go to Six Flags, Magic Mountain in the near end of June! :) I’m semi-excited because I’m not sure if it’s official yet ‘~’!

And.. There’s just.. 8 More days of school after today!

On my previous blog post, I mentioned about my house having a “notice” from the city to remove the rooftop for the parking lot– it turns out that we do need to remove the rooftop. The only good thing about this is.. I might get more “sunshine” into my windows :O!

I don’t know if I am stressed yet. I’m reaching the finishing point in school now! (:! The city of Los Angeles posted a notice on my house. It said that the structure that we own- the roof for our cars does not have a building permit. We’ve had it for over 15 years- when the house was bought. I don’t know what the city is up to- they’re just being… Derps. My dad is now just a bit stressed out because of it. Blehhh. All of a sudden- the city cares about structures. Good going, recession.

I took the California High School Exit Exam last year- – - I found out my scores! I scored 400 for English and 435 for Math. For the rank of “advanced”, I need to score 400+ or 404+. I did pretty good for a first timer! :D!

I’m getting the year book tomorrow. Hopefully. ‘~’. This year, the high school yearbook costs 90 bucks. Am I daring to buy it? I always buy yearbooks. In 60 years, you will not regret buying the yearbook; because you can refer back to it and have your grandchildren laugh at the pictures of today! I’m still laughing at the pictures of my dad’s yearbook from high school. Most of the people had poofy hair! I’m going to the same high school that my dad went to 20 years ago. CRAZY!

Today is supposed to be the day when the world is going to end. I don’t know who claims this, and why they do so. It’s really annoying and it’s not logical! The bottom line is; If the world is going to end, it’s going to end. No when. Just do it.

As far as this site goes; I’m going to add a writings section. But if that’s the case, then a portion of the writings are password protected. As some writings of mine are rants -__- and some are highly.. Offensive to some offline individuals. Other than that, I still have reviews to write up and a few tutorials to possibly make. It’s just too much work. I might want to change my layout somehow, I don’t know- it’ll require a lot of work! But it’s worth it (:

I hate people who ruins your appetite for food- even if it is done unintentionally. Earlier today, I was eating a bite here and there out of the tacos my band teacher bought for me. What almost killed my mood of eating is when someone said, “Ooh Tacos! I hate tacos.” Of course, I replied by saying, “I am eating right now. I don’t care if you like tacos or not.” Seriously, if you hate the food someone is eating, just keep it to yourself. No one is interested. My appetite wasn’t killed.. It was just lessened.

I remembered in the first few months of WordPress blogging, people usually assume I know Tagalog. :P I guess it is because I interacted with Filipino bloggers :O. It is just a silly thing of a past (:. Back in the days, I remember that I always wanted to be affiliated with everyone.. Even though 30% of them were inactive {once a month updates}. But what stayed the same is that I’m still irritated by people who post short comments and has long blog posts who expects long comments on their posts.

I’m currently working on the Rocket project for physics at school. Thank god it is a group project. I’m still behind in US History though ‘~’.

I don`t know if anyone is interested in the work I do with photoshop for my current and past sites. I rediscovered a few of the works I have done before dating back to September of 2008. I was really really basic. Honestly, I don`t really look at photoshop tutorials to begin with. Everything is done with trial and error. I guess that`s why my work can`t compare to others who has knowledge from research. So I introduce to you, my Design Gallery page.

I don`t being shy. I like to stand out and talk to people and befriend them. The only obstacle to this is just.. Sometimes, people create an awkward environment that forces me to just be silent and say nothing at all. I guess that is just what life is. Full of.. Awkward surprises. I guess that means you`re not destined to really talk to that person at that certain moment!

I technically don`t have a new layout posted up. I just changed the headers because.. I just had a change of heart.
