Yesterday, I had an afternoon meal with one of my old friends at King Taco. I had my share of the meal with consuming 3 tacos, 1 sope, and some nachos. Did I have fun? Of course I did! Though… We had leftover nachos and my friend wanted to bring them to whoever was in the band room from my high school a few blocks away. I really did not anticipate dropping by the band room at all. It was a bit of a bummer that I didn’t catch the band director but I was warmly greeted by the current band members there.
Even though I graduated almost a year ago, it was weird that I barely recognized what the band room looked like at first sight… It was the place I visited the most out of all my years in high school. Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t forgotten about band and the memories made from it. It’s just somewhere in the back of my head. I blame the heavy demands of the semester but that’s life. I guess it’s better “complaining” about being busy than being bored because at least you’re gaining experience of some sort by being preoccupied.
On Monday, I had an exam for Anthropology and a test for Philosophy… The two hardest classes of the semester. No matter how much I studied, I ended up guessing on most of the questions in Anthropology. As for Philosophy, I feel better about this test than the previous test. Sadly, I still have another exam coming up for Statistics next Monday… Which means I have 3 chapters worth of homework to complete this weekend. Come to think of it, there are only 4 weeks left in the semester. Surprisingly, it seems as if this semester is going by faster than last semester.
Despite of me grumbling so much about the semester, life is good. Aside of all of those “bad” things, you gotta look at the good things in life too… Like me parking my neighbor’s car on to the street after street cleaning this morning. It doesn’t really benefit me directly, but still. It’s a good deed.
