Today, I finally have my internet service upgraded. I went from AT&T DSL to Time Warner Cable Road Runner Internet. Before, it usually takes 1 hour to download a 1gb file. Now, it just takes 15 minutes. At the most, I now need to worry about getting premium downloads from these sites D:!
I don’t understand some telemarketers these days. For a while, there was this particular phone call that constantly calls my house looking for my dad. Most of the time, my dad is not home because he’s at work. Yesterday, I decided to pick up the phone to see what’s up. First, there was a lady talking to me in a “strict” tone asking for my dad. I said, “My dad’s not here–” She interrupts and says, “I’ll call back later.” A few hours later, the same number was calling with the same crap as before. I checked the phone number on Google- apparently it’s some scam from people pretending to be representatives from Bank of America. I told my dad what happened and when they called again, he was messing with them- not being interested.
On the other day, I went to the mall with Kevin. I asked him, “If you had to pick a pair of shorts for a female friend, what would you pick?” For a guy who often wears plaid shorts, he picked a pair of shorts like the ones below. I ended up buying the Hollister attire.
I ended up getting a new domain for my fanlistings collective. I figured- there’s no turning back now. I’m still working it out bit by bit with the transfer. I also finished 4 more reviews and I currently have 2 in the queue slot. I have also upgraded my hosting thingr to reseller- I figured I don’t need unlimited disk space and so for now. I barely even use 1gb in disk space all together!

With telemarketers, sometimes my dad is extra-mean and tells the person that they’re being put on hold, and just puts the phone down and sees how long the telemarketer stays on.
Those are cute shorts! That’s great that you have a domain (well, two now). Are you hosted by another website but have your own domain name, or do you have your own site? (Don’t know how to phrase it any better, but I think you’ll get what I mean.)

Telemarketers -_- urgh. They speak so fast. They were looking for my mom one time and I said she isn’t availabe- “WELL CAN I LEAVE A MESSAGE – dl;askdl;sakd;la” and they continue with this obnoxiously long message for like twenty minutes so i just hang up.

re: Yes, nickelodeon gets a little destroyeed as we get older. supah ninjas is supposed to be about a group of kids saving their town from crime, but its more like a stupid superhero show with unnatural things. it probably derived from a cartoon magazine.

I hate those telemarketers. Just don’t pick up. Or if they call, pick up and then hang up again. Have you guys told them that you guys aren’t interested? Sometimes that works.

So the next day at the lab, my mentor (well, the grad student working with me really) cleared it up for me. But then my official mentor (the one who runs the lab) said she had misunderstood, and she added another part onto my experiment as a “followup” and it got confusing again! Ugh. Hopefully on Monday we’ll clear this up. Hopefully I’ll be able to figure it out on my own so I don’t look like an idiot for not asking before when they were talking about it.

Ugh, that is horrible! I HATE (ok, strongly, strongly dislike) people who try to scam innocent strangers like that. My sister got billed ten dollars the other day because some company was texting her and actually billing her for opening the texts! The only way to get them to stop was to text back “STOP”, which they never mentioned. She didn’t end up having to pay but.. scammers are freaking everywhere. :/

For Webs, it’s not optional, I don’t think. -shrugs- You can get rid of it by putting one of those ugly “Powered by FreeWebs” buttons on your site, but those are a pain. And I HATE those live chat things. -rolls eyes- So annoying.

Well that scammer lady has a hell of a lot of guts to call you up. I’ve never heard of scams when anything is actually related to direct speech to the person their trying to scam. I get tons of stupid but common emails that most people get, “We’re trying to start a business, please send some money and you’ll receive “—–” in donations for being one of our original supporter.” Etc.Etc. they say that they are coming from big banks or corporote companies, but theirs emails will be stuff like applexsd223@rocketmail.com and their english will be terrible. Yet still, some of my gullible friends do exchange emails with them, and get to the point where they are about to send a cheque to the address provided, when I have to slap them -.-
The guy has good taste =) I love the shorts, I have the same thing in black, and the belt is off-white :D And I love it!

Ah, we always get telemarketers phoning up – they’re mostly based in India, so when I pick up it’s all crackly down the phone and I don’t understand what they’re saying, so I end up hanging up on them.. which is a bit rude, but eh.
Those are some nice shorts :) I really want some new clothes – especially as I’m going away soon!

Gah, I can’t stand telemarketers, and yet I feel a bit bad, because it’s their job and they’re just trying to make money. They are so annoying though; ever since we got caller ID, we just don’t pick up the phone. xD
